Measure the wall width and depth where the bookcase will stand. Allow 5 cm clearance on each side.

Most of our bookcase designs can easily be fitted into spaces with standard UK ceiling heights.

Measure the narrowest door or hallway the box must pass through. Flat-pack delivery — check access points.

If placing against a wall with skirting boards, check the board depth. The bookcase needs a flush wall surface.

Confirm wall material (plasterboard, brick, etc.) if using the anti-tip hardware. Different wall types need different fixings.
